Rajshahi University Alumni Association in Australia. We, the Canadian Alumni Association of Rajshahi University recognize this organization as our partner in Australia and wish all of their success.
Thank you to all for participating and making AGM & BBQ a successful. We not only had a wonderful day on May 13, 2012, Sunday at Taylor Creek park , we also searched out an efficient and uncontested leadership ,which as follows , for the CAARU for two years as an outcome of the Annual General Meeting . Minutes of the Annual General Meeting is attached herewith for your information. As a part of the agenda of the AGM , Mr. Moqbul Husain , submited a panel to Ashraf Ali who was conducting the election in the AGM , and the panel was seconded by the Mahmuda Begum . More than 150 members and their family, friends, and guest from other fellow organizations congratulated the all members of the new committee instantly. From now, Mustafiz Khan Pappu , as a General Secretary of the CAARU will ensure all correspondence / email. Again, thank you very much for giving us an opportunity to serve you. We also apologizes to all if we hurt anybody anyway during our term . We also hope your support and co operation always will remain as is for the new leadership.

Dear Members: We would like to thank all members and their family for participating in the Picnic 2011. Undoubtedly, it was a wonderful summer day as your lively presence turned the Bluffers’ Park into a piece of our university campus and it took us back in time for the whole day with lots of fun and activities , though condolence meeting for Prof. Saleh , Prof, Aminul Bari and Abdul Wahab brought forth a looming cloud of grief for a short while. We also would like to say thank you to Prof. Dr. Rezalul Karim , Prof. Dr . Shahana, Prof. Dr A B M Husain, Prof. Dr. Hasanuzzaman , Dr. Obaidul Islam , Dr. Munira islam , Abdul Wahid CMA , President BCS, Mr . Saidur Rahman , Ex Country Director , Oxfam , Bangladesh, Mr. Mizanur Rahman , Chapter Co ordinator Ottawa , President Pabna Samity , President Khulna Samity , President , KUET , Mr. Nowshad , a prominent business man of Bangladesh for their presence.

The following are some of the key achievements of 2010.
Expansion of the network of Graduates nationally and internationally
CAARU has maintained regular contacts with Rajshahi University Alumni Association, USA, Rajshahi University Alumni Association , Australia and Central Alumni Association of Rajshahi University in Bangladesh. On behalf of the association Professor Dr. Zafar Reza Khan held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor and representatives of the Central Alumni Association of Rajashahi University at the beginning of 2010. In April 2011, Mustafiz Khan Pappu, member of our executive committee also met with the Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University and updated him on CAARU activities in Canada.
Continued Maintenance of Membership Database
CAARU maintains a website www.caaru.ca which contains a data base of current members and serves as a bulletin board to keep members up to speed on different events. The website also serves as a communication platform for members in Canada and Rajshahi University Graduates all over the world.

Members' reunion night was successfully held at the Bangladesh Community Centre on September 12, 2010, right after the EID festival. Attended by many of our CAARU families, the reunion night became a wonderful experience with Prof. Rashidul Haq's wonderful performance as solo singer of classical bangla songs. From Bhupen Hazarika to Manna Dey to Hemanta Mukherjee, Prof. Haque proved that he is not only a talent in the field of genetic engineering but also he is the best in presenting those famous singers of our time.
Dinner was served among the members and the guests who attended the event.
